The last time I was at the service, the mechanic told me there were some issues with the crankcase ventilation valve and that it would be good to replace it when possible.
The main symptoms of a fault are usually some of these:
— excessive oil consumption and oil leaks
— clogged filter
— overall power loss
— condensation on the oil filler cap
You can read about how all of this works in another owner’s journal.
Personally, I hadn’t noticed any of the above, but I decided not to wait until something showed up.
ETKA says the “crankcase ventilation valve” part doesn’t exist on its own, and this valve comes as an assembly with the oil separator under part number — 06K103495AG.

If you open the part details, you can see the oil separator went through several revisions: 06K103495AG, 06K103495AT (2016++) and the latest, current one — 06K103495BM (2018++).
I ordered the part and it was delivered to me the next day. The part with delivery cost me 2480 UAH.

I took the car to the same mechanic who recommended replacing the oil separator. Dropped the car off at the shop in the morning, and by lunch it was already done.

Has anything changed after the replacement? Nothing noticeable so far, but I haven’t driven much yet — basically just from the shop to home. We’ll drive around and see, and I’ll update this post if anything comes up.
